It can be utilized in the extremities as well as in the spine. Industrial Rehabilitation

You currently suffer great costs related directly and indirectly to Workers Compensation and workplace injury-health issues. The question before us is how may we effectively reduce these costs. The most responsible issue to consider is not “how much we may cost” but, rather, “how much we may save you.”

Physical Therapists specializing in workplace health have developed several programs and strategies that have been very effective at reducing MSD injuries, claims, and costs. In order to avoid re-inventing the wheel, we are consulting with one such physical therapy group on this to replicate what has worked so well for them and their client workplaces.

LaFayette Physical Therapy’s workplace health program patterned after SmartCare’s NO LOST TIME has evolved over a 20-year period within more than 500 workplaces. These companies have seen a 72 percent decrease in MSD lost days and costs. This is a program worthy of duplication at your company.

Runaway Worker Comp claims and costs are often the result of several fixable issues. The first step is for us to do a NEEDS ANALYSIS whereby we examine the OSHA 300 logs to identify trends and priorities, plus carry out an ergonomics risks screening of all jobs. This will allow you and us to realize precisely what are the problems so we can set practical and cost-effective priorities in an ACTION PLAN.

The next step is for us to provide an MSD SCHOOL seminar to all leaders in the company (managers, supervisors, team leaders, and union officers if you are a union shop.) This is a four hour seminar to make everyone in leadership a committed expert on the nature of the problems and choices available to fix them. The target is ignorance about the issues, as ignorance is the source of most costs. This seminar introduces numerous effective MSD prevention strategies the company may employ to reduce MSD claims, as well as injury management and return to work processes that minimize lost time and Worker Comp costs.

The next step is an employee-based MSD SCHOOL teaching employees how to protect themselves from MSD problems. This is a two-hour training session that introduces several effective MSD prevention tactics.

Once everyone in the company is educated about the problem and how to abate it, we can then be far more effective at other processes such as injury treatment, pre & post employment screening, restricted duty controls, and more.

North Georgia and Chattanooga area employers benefit from our Industrial Rehabilitation and Worker’s Compensation programs to help restore the health, mobility, and range of motion of injured employees who have experienced loss of motion.
